Since the official beginning of GirlDreamer in 2016, we have come such a long way in all that we have become, learned, discovered and understood. We realised our work runs deeper than the initiatives, programmes and events we have been creating & offering.
Take this, 75% of women of colour feel like society acts as a barrier towards achieving their dreams.
10% of women of colour feel uninspired to pursue their dreams and 4% of women of colour see themselves in positions of leadership.
We have been on an incredible journey of immense learning and now want to honour our calling of providing a virtual space for our community of GirlDreamers to be themselves, with each other.

Dream State at GirlDreamer is a private, members-only online portal for women of colour to connect, learn and grow both individually and together. Our mission is to provide a safe space for GirlDreamer’s to access each other, develop both personally and professionally and become more intentional about how they work, play, socialise and build relationships. This portal acts as a platform with:

For us, being intentional and taking a holistic approach at GirlDreamer is key to organically and authentically fulfilling this mission. We exist for the growth of our community and it’s important for GirlDreamer’s to feel that they are being encouraged, supported and valued and that they exude ‘main character’ energy throughout their lives.
Despite membership fees costing hundreds per year, we have chosen to remove the barrier of all costs to ensure nothing stands in the way of the growth and connection of our community. Women of colour are one of the most marginalised groups in society and we want to enable GirlDreamers to access what belongs to them and the first step is providing a community of like-minded individuals.
